Buy a health or consumer word
The consumer side of the board, where a category can go from one company to six inside a year - and only one of those six ends up with the word.

The consumer side of the board moves faster than the software side. Biomarker testing went from a niche to a price war inside a single year, four companies entering and the going rate halving while it happened. If that is your category, the word is contested now and will not be cheaper later, because there is only one auction for it.
Consumer words also behave differently from software words in who sees them. A developer word does its work in a README; a health word does its work in a screenshot, because the audience is not reading documentation. The absurd end of the board and the consumer end tend to travel together for that reason.
One constraint worth stating: this site does not carry prescription or regulated medical advertising, which is why the catalogue holds "bloodwork" and not a drug class. The words here point at companies, not at treatments.
Why you would want one
You are the funded challenger in fertility, hormones, longevity, sleep or testing, up against brands with far more to spend. A screenshot travels further than the placement you could afford.
What buying one costs
Every word carries a reserve, the price under which it does not sell — the lowest in this category is $25, and bidding opens well below it. Each later bid has to clear the current one by at least $5 or 10%, whichever is larger, and a bid in the last minutes pushes the close back. Whoever is highest when it ends owns the word permanently — there is nothing to renew, and no way for anyone to take it afterwards.
What you get is the word's page with your name, a line of copy, a logo and one outbound link; a slot on the board; a vanity URL you can say out loud; a live badge for your README; and click counts tagged so the traffic shows up in your own analytics. The full rules.
